The European and Securities Markets Authority (Esma) has proposed to strengthen the regulatory framework covering exchange traded funds (ETFs) and to extend this to other types of UCITS.
Esma published a consultation paper on Monday to introduce requirements for ETF securities lending and collateral management as well as UCITS ETFs and index tracking UCITS.
