Chair: Is GCC asset management still chiefly about sovereign wealth funds (SWFs) or is the opportunity greater? What would make you engage with retail there?

Jon Bailie, AXA Investment Managers: On an asset weighted basis, it is chiefly about SWFs, but there are opportunities elsewhere, including insurance companies and some corporate balance sheets. A number of retirement funds are in various stages of development. The family offices are quasi-institutional in nature; some are very large and sophisticated, and there are opportunities to manage the wealth of people who don’t have their own family office.
