Ben Prade was appointed CEO of Maple Banks UK subsidiary, Maple Securities, in January. He has been with Maple for fourteen years in both the UK and US and was previously co-head of securities finance for the company. Since coming into the role, he has directed the firms business development and marketing, while overseeing its structured business, proprietary trading, and securities finance operations.
Global Investor/isf: How has your securities finance background shaped your approach as CEO? Prade: When I started in the securities finance industry the importance of building relationships was drummed into me. That is the kind of experience that I am looking to carry through by making other departments understand the importance of this.
