Dispelling the third-party myth
DEAR SIR,
Over the course of 2006, there have been a number of articles depicting various types of security lending programmes that generalise the capabilities and breadth of programme offerings.

I strongly believe the coverage of custodial versus third-party lending is misleading. I would like to make the distinction that custodial lending and third-party lending are not mutually exclusive. Globalisation of trading, operational efficiencies and technology allow for custodial lenders to offer successful third-party lending programmes as well as support their custodial client base. Beneficial owners should demand an agent lender that is sufficiently resourced with the necessary size, depth...
