Citigroup hires global fixed income head
Malcolm Butler has rejoined Citigroup Global Transaction Services (GTS) as global head of fixed income and cash investment trading for securities finance, reporting to Tim Douglas, global head of GTS securities finance.

Butler is based in London and is responsible for managing all securities finance trading in Europe, the Middle East and Africa (EMEA). Gareth Mitchell, head of fixed income and cash investments in EMEA, and his equivalent in North America Barry Winter will report to Butler.

Bear Stearns hires in Asia Bear Stearns has expanded its business in Asia by hiring three people in Hong Kong. Dan Azzi joins the firm as managing director, responsible for the trading of equity finance, synthetic prime brokerage and market access products.
