Martin Zapico gone from Morgan Stanley
Martin Zapico, global head of international securities lending, Morgan Stanley, has left the bank.
A Morgan Stanley veteran of 20 years, Zapico is reported to be taking six months off and what he will do after is not known.
The reason for his departure is a restructuring at the prime broker, one which will see the swaps and contract for difference business moved into prime brokering while securities lending will report jointly to prime brokering and financial products. Craig Verdon will be moved from Asia to London to co-head financial products along with Alan Thomas in the US.
Tejash Patel is joining Morgan Stanley's stock-loan team in Tokyo, moving from Goldman Sachs. Patel is vice president in Japanese stock-loan trading, reporting to Edward Sisterson, executive director of securities lending and equity financing for Asia.
