Shock departures at Morgan Stanley

Two Morgan Stanley stalwarts are gone from the bank. Both Charlotte Wall and Philippe Lopategui are no longer with the firm. Morgan has been undergoing a restructuring since early 2007 integrating its equities and fixed income businesses. The broker decided to consolidate the financing businesses under one platform called Institutional Securities Group (ISG) Financing. In other Morgan Stanley departures, Tammy Phillips, managing director left the bank earlier this year. And Diane Pearl, managing director and global product manager for Fixed Income Financing is also gone.

Madaio leaves UBS

Michael Madaio, managing director, responsible for securities lending in the US for UBS has left the bank. It is not known whether he will be joining a competitor. UBS declined to comment when contacted.
