The one constant
In a year like we have had where nothing has been a certainty, many in the equity finance industry may have assumed the Equity Lending Survey results would be just as changeable.
However at the top of the borrowers rankings, there remains one constant – Morgan Stanley. The bank is again the top borrower winning both the unweighted and weighted by importance to counterparty categories. And finishing first in all but one of the service categories.
The bank seems to be unfazed year on year when it experiences staff departures or any kind of structural changes. This year saw veterans such as Tammy Phillips, Charlotte Wall, and Philippe Lopategui leave the broker. But the bank's focus remains intent and clear and seemingly never deviates.
